I was out and about yesterday and the chill hit me soooo bad I realised I could no longer hold on to this notion of summer, and accept that the seasons have well and truly changed.
As much as I love the summer, I have to admit, the autumn has a certain charm to it. The natural colour changes of the trees to beautiful red, browns and yellows, the crisp fresh air in the mornings not to mention the excitement of trying out new lines of fashion in stores all add up to the promise of new beginnings. So yes, if I had to pick a second favourite season, autumn would be it.
So far I find I have been able to get away with adding a few layers to my warm weather clothes. I picked up this gorgeous easy to wear floral number from Oasis not too long ago. It is well tailored with a beauiful rose print on it and the good news is (drum roll please), it is still available on line and in-stores and even better it is on sale, who doesn’t love a bargain?.
As the temperatures have certainly dropped, I threw on some black tights and gave it a bit of edge with a leather jacket from Zara. I adore leather jackets because not only are they a versatile piece of clothing but can help you go from soft and feminine to hard and edgy with minimal effort. Plus they never go out of style, they are a definite staple in my wardrobe. The boots are a very comfortable & affordable pair from H&M which I know I will without a doubt get a lot of wear out of this season and going into winter.
Till next time
